Past & Present
Earlier this year, the City of Defiance, Ohio was ranked among Site Selection Magazine’s “Top 100 U.S. Small Towns for Corporate Facilities.” This is the eighth consecutive year that Defiance County has been ranked on the list. Defiance County is gaining a national reputation due to the amount of economic activity throughout the region. There are numerous projects that have been or are being completed in Defiance County. Bi-Modal Facility Study
This initiative is a co-op between Defiance County CIC, Defiance County Commissioners and the City of Defiance. During this phase, these three entities seek to identify a need, potential use and development of a bimodal facility. The three entities hired Mannik & Smith who partnered with The Corradino Group to conduct a five month Marketing Feasibility study. This bimodal facility will concentrate on two modes of transportation, Rail and Road. The Corradino Group has facilitated many similar studies all over the United States including in Detroit and Kentucky.
