Within the CIC, we are committed to facilitating the needs of our investors and their business interests. Investing in the CIC allows us to:
- Protect the existing asset and employment base of Defiance County by continuing a systematic retention and expansion program
- Market Defiance County to attract business investment and new jobs, emphasizing business sectors that will provide diversity in the Defiance County industrial makeup by recruiting firms from the food, plastics, renewable energy and logistics industries
- Facilitate with public and private partners to create an outstanding business climate through:
- Facilitating technological infrastructure development throughout Defiance County
- Support of traditional infrastructure extensions to areas which have a high likelihood of industrial development in order to provide shovel-ready sites
- Partner with the Workforce Development Office to assist new and existing companies with training and workforce development
- Encouragement of investment in industrial speculative buildings to provide immediate opportunities for new attractions or expansions
